Bombardier Defends US Manufacturing Amid Trump's Aircraft Sales Threat

Bombardier says it already has substantial U.S. operations and pushes back on Donald Trump’s threat to block sales of its aircraft unless the company builds planes in the United States. In a statement provided to Al Jazeera, Bombardier said it employs 3,500 people in the U.S. and produces parts including wings in Texas and flight control components in California. The company also cited a supplier network spanning 47 U.S. states and said it invests in American workers and communities. Trump, meanwhile, criticized Bombardier for making 50% of its revenue in the U.S. and called it a “piggybank.”
