Bristol Airport ranked among UK's worst for July delays as summer begins
Bristol Airport has been ranked among the UK’s worst for July delays as summer travel ramps up, according to a Locals Insider study using Civil Aviation Authority punctuality data. The research found that 47.3% of flights departing Bristol in July between 2022 and 2025 were delayed by more than 15 minutes or cancelled. That result placed Bristol on a joint fifth-highest position among airports analysed, behind only Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh and Luton. Over the four-year period, Bristol handled 27,851 July departures across more than 700,000 flights examined. Gatwick recorded the highest delay rate at 57.4%, followed by Manchester at 51.1% and Edinburgh at 50.3%. Belfast City Airport was the most punctual at 29.2%, with Aberdeen and Liverpool John Lennon following at 30.1% and 30.6%.
