British man to be charged in Singapore after allegedly pushing past airline staff to board plane, delaying Changi flight

A 25-year-old British man is expected to be charged in Singapore after police said he allegedly pushed past airline staff and entered a protected airport area, causing a 45-minute delay at Changi Airport Terminal 1. Police received a call on July 20 around 4:05 p.m. about a passenger creating a disturbance at a boarding gate for a flight to Kuala Lumpur. Investigators said he appeared intoxicated, shouted loudly and used vulgarities after being approached by two airline staff, and was removed from the flight. After being told of the airline’s decision, he allegedly became aggressive, pushed past staff, and injured a staff member’s left arm and wrist. Charges on Aug. 12 include public intoxication annoyance, threatening/insulting behaviour, and unauthorised entry.
