Bryson Hurt credits longtime bond with NC State in his Commitment
NC State’s commitment secured a key offensive line prospect in Bryson Hurt, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman from Gainesville, Georgia. Hurt chose the Wolfpack and head coach Dave Doeren over West Virginia, Colorado, Georgia, Rutgers, and other programs after a recruiting battle that stayed fluid until the end. He said the decision took about three weeks after his final visit, with NC State and West Virginia both offering compelling options. Hurt also cited a long-standing relationship with NC State staff, noting he has known Coach Tujague since his freshman year. He added that his family liked NC State as well and that being closer to home helped. After four visits to Raleigh, including an official trip, Hurt said the program’s development and academic connections would support him through his playing career.
