Budget carrier Norwegian to acquire Scandinavian tour operating business

Norwegian is set to acquire Nordic Leisure Travel Group (NLTG) for SEK 7.94 billion, uniting a Nordic leisure travel powerhouse that includes brands such as Ving, Spies, Tjäreborg, Globetrotter and Sunclass Airlines with Norwegian and Wideroe. The deal brings together NLTG's packaged travel and hotel operations with Norwegian's and Wideroe's networks, totaling about 27 million passengers and almost 160 aircraft. The expanded group will also include NL TG’s hotels in Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Thailand and Turkey, and will strengthen the Airshoppen retail platform within the enlarged group.
