BZN airport hits 3-million passenger milestone as mile-high fuel prices cloud growth
xCruzo Brief
Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) has crossed 3 million passengers in its first-ever 12-month period, recording 3,004,991 total passengers through September: 1,504,450 enplanements and 1,500,541 deplanements. The airport is Montana’s busiest, and the total slightly surpasses its 2.9 million projection for the year. Growth is being tempered by soaring jet fuel prices, which surged after the war in Iran began in late February due to supply disruptions. Even with an 8.7% monthly passenger increase and a $200 million terminal expansion underway, airport leaders expect growth to flatten in the short term.
