Sunrise Airways launched two new direct routes from Cap-Haïtien to the Dominican Republic on June 26, 2026, as part of its expansion in the Caribbean. The Haitian carrier said the new connections to Punta Cana and Santiago de los Caballeros aim to strengthen connectivity between Haiti, the Dominican Republic and the wider Caribbean, while offering travelers more convenient access to regional and international destinations. According to the airline, flights to Punta Cana (PUJ) operate on Mondays and Wednesdays, with departures from Cap-Haïtien around 12:00 p.m. and arrivals about 1:00 p.m.; return flights depart at 2:00 p.m. Direct services to Santiago (STI) run primarily on Mondays and Fridays, with crossing times estimated at roughly 30 to 45 minutes. Reservations are open through the airline’s website, mobile app, and authorized travel agencies or sales offices. The carrier, founded in 2012, says it has carried nearly two million passengers and currently serves destinations across Haiti, the Dominican Republic, the Eastern Caribbean, Turks and Caicos, and the United States.
