Chorus Aviation reports lower second-quarter profit of $13.8M

Chorus Aviation Inc., based in Halifax, reported a lower second-quarter profit of $13.8 million, down from $32.4 million a year earlier. The company, which leases aircraft worldwide, said net income fell due to several items: a negative change in net unrealized foreign exchange, higher amortization on intangible assets, and tax adjustments. Operating revenue totaled $349.4 million, compared with $324.6 million for the three months ended June 30. On an adjusted basis, Chorus earned $50.7 million, down from $51.3 million. Its leverage ratio ended the quarter at 1.5 versus 1.7 at end-2025.
