Cirrus Vision Jet Marks 10 Years
Cirrus is marking 10 years of Vision Jet production, announcing on Oct. 19 during NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas that it has delivered more than 800 single-engine jets since the aircraft earned FAA type certification in 2016. The company is also expanding its support ecosystem, including pilot training, maintenance, connected-aircraft technology branded Cirrus IQ, and fleet management services called JetStream. The Vision Jet was designed for owner-flown personal transportation, featuring the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) and Safe Return Emergency Autoland. Upgrades introduced across versions include the G2’s performance and cabin improvements and the G2+ connectivity and takeoff enhancements. The latest G3 adds ATC datalink capability, Spectra LED wingtip lighting, and a revised six-adult-plus-one-child seating layout, with a stated max cruise speed of 317 ktas and ceiling of 31,000 feet.
