Cruel Intentions' star Selma Blair charged with second-degree assault after attacking flight attendant mid-air
Actor Selma Blair was charged with second-degree assault after an incident on a Delta flight on Sunday, according to Variety, citing Queens Criminal Court. She was arrested, later released on Monday after posting $20,000 in bail paid by credit card. Variety reports that a Port Authority police officer arrested her after alleged attacks on an officer and a nurse, and she was removed from the Delta aircraft. Prosecutors say Blair punched a flight attendant and bit another while traveling from Los Angeles to New York, then attempted to open a plane door while in the air. Police awaited her at John F. Kennedy Airport, where she was taken into custody and transported for evaluation at a hospital. Two flight attendants reported injuries, and Blair’s representative said she experienced a medical emergency.
