Dad dies after he's restrained by Jet2 passengers on Manchester Airport flight
A man identified as Callum Kerr has died after being restrained by fellow passengers on a Jet2 flight from Larnaca, Cyprus, to Manchester Airport, according to reports and statements cited by the Manchester Evening News. Kerr boarded on June 21, but witnesses said he became disruptive during the flight in his 30s after reportedly consuming a significant amount of alcohol beforehand. Police said officers were called in the early hours of June 22 after allegations of assault and that other passengers had restrained him upon landing. Officers boarded the aircraft and found Kerr was not breathing, beginning CPR and requesting a defibrillator before he was taken to hospital. He later died, family members told the newspaper. Greater Manchester Police said an investigation was underway into reports that he had been aggressive and disruptive toward a passenger and crew members. Jet2 previously said flight LS966 requested priority landing due to a disruptive passenger incident and that a passenger had been taken to hospital.
