Delta Air Lines Passenger Reportedly Flushes iPhone Down Toilet Amid Cross-Country Flight

A passenger reportedly flushed an iPhone down the toilet midair aboard a Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-200 on Wednesday, the incident taking place during the LAS-to-ATL flight. According to posts cited by the aviation media, the waste system on the older 757 uses a recirculating arrangement that routes flushed material into a septic tank in the belly hold. The phone reportedly dropped into that “blue juice” tank rather than being sucked out of the aircraft. The plane, tail number N658DL, appeared to suffer no damage and departed for its next flight on time, per FlightAware. Delta reportedly landed in Atlanta at 5:44 PM, then crews drained the waste system and located the device.
