Storms Turn 45-Minute British Airways Service Into 2-Hour Flight To Nowhere

A British Airways BA308 service between London Heathrow (LHR) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) was forced to turn back due to severe weather around Paris, turning a typical 45-minute airborne trip into more than two hours “to nowhere.” Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 shows the aircraft, an Airbus A321neo registered G-TNEA, departed at 3:05 PM and was scheduled to arrive at 5:30 PM local time. Instead, after taking off nearly two hours late at 5:03 PM, it landed back at Heathrow at 7:12 PM. A BA spokesperson said the Paris area weather caused excessive holding, and the airline provided overnight accommodation and rebooked passengers on the next available flight.
