Delta and United Outages Delay Flights Across US
Delta and United faced a widespread IT disruption that delayed flights and left travelers unable to board or access support. Reports began around 11:40 a.m. ET Tuesday and lasted roughly an hour, according to Downdetector. Many complaints were tied to Delta, including passengers in Detroit, Michigan who said they could not board their flights. Similar issues were reported in Arkansas, Georgia, and Florida, with travelers citing unresponsive apps and difficulties logging in. United confirmed its website and app were down, saying customers could not sign in to MileagePlus accounts and asking people to try again later. Delta and United did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The outages followed a Daily Mail report that Delta CEO Ed Bastian decided against partnering with Elon Musk’s Starlink.
