Delta brings DraftKings to the skies -- but there's no gambling

Delta Air Lines will add a sports prediction game to flights through a partnership with DraftKings, but it says the experience will not include gambling. The airline said the game will be available to passengers 21 and older and will let players win Delta gift cards, while excluding betting, deposit functionality, buy-ins or any financial risk. The move follows calls from U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal last year urging the companies not to offer onboard gambling, citing a 1962 law. Delta said the game begins Wednesday on its Delta Sync Wi‑Fi, starting with Major League Baseball contests and NFL matchups later this year. Participation requires signing in with a DraftKings account.
