Detroit Lions have a lot of things to fix after two tough games in four days

Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell said the team has a “long list” of issues to fix after two difficult games in four days. Detroit survived a 31-30 overtime win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, but then lost 41-31 to the Buffalo Bills on Thursday. With limited time, Campbell said they can’t complete all adjustments before the Lions return on Sept. 27 versus the New York Jets. Since going up 21-0 early in the third quarter against New Orleans, the Lions have been outscored 71-41, including a first half that stalled and a run-defense failure versus Buffalo. Jared Goff totaled 327 yards and four touchdowns against the Bills’ opponent last game earlier in the stretch, while Josh Allen threw five TDs and accounted for 350+ yards. The Lions’ nine-day window will include addressing defensive coverage with key safeties on PUP, while also focusing on stopping Buffalo’s run-game.
