Donnie Wahlberg praises God and pilots after plane skidded off runway at Las Vegas airport

Donnie Wahlberg said he and seven others avoided a “serious disaster” after a private jet skidded off the runway at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Wahlberg, who had just performed with New Kids on the Block at the band’s final Las Vegas residency show, recounted the incident on social media, saying the plane never became airborne and that it ran out of runway during takeoff. He credited the pilots for “saving our lives,” adding that the aircraft narrowly missed trucks and heavy equipment near the end of the runway, and that emergency personnel responded quickly. A spokesperson confirmed the aircraft contacted the perimeter fence around 11 a.m. Sunday and said no injuries were known at the time.
