Donnie Wahlberg says he survived plane skidding incident - 98KUPD - Arizona's Rock Station

Donnie Wahlberg said he survived a failed plane takeoff after a general aviation aircraft skidded off runway 1L at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. In an Instagram video posted Sunday, the New Kids on the Block singer and actor said the plane “didn’t get up in the air” and ran out of runway, adding that pilots “saved our lives” while he believed they avoided several obstacles and trucks before contact with the perimeter fence. Airport officials said there were no known injuries and that runways 1R and 1L would close for inspections. The FAA is investigating; it confirmed eight people were aboard a Dassault Falcon 50 bound for Toronto Pearson Airport. Both runways later reopened after inspections.
