Cambodia is moving a draft drone-management sub-decree forward ahead of the July parliamentary election. The interior ministry, the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), and related state bodies are accelerating work on a document designed to guarantee security and public order. Bun Honn, head of the drafting group, said the sub-decree aims to finalise before the SEA Games opening and the national election, with eight chapters and 32 articles covering registration, production, and use of all drones, excluding defence and security drones governed by separate rules. The initiative follows extensive consultations and signals a tightening but comprehensive regulatory framework for drone activity nationwide.
