Duluth's 148th Fighter Wing Announces 2026 4th Of July Fighter Jet Flyover Schedule

Duluth’s 148th Fighter Wing has announced the Independence Day 2026 schedule for a regional F-16 flyover in northern Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. The wing will coordinate passes by two F-16 Fighting Falcons over 11 towns and cities, with nine locations in Northern Minnesota and two in Northern Wisconsin, using approved requests through the U.S. Air Force’s Aerial Events website. The flights are expected to be around 1,000 feet, which the wing says is close enough to see, hear and feel the aircraft. The proposed times begin with Cloquet, Minnesota at 10:58 am and include multiple stops through the early afternoon, with Brookston, Minnesota listed at 12:55 pm. Duluth also emphasized that the times are approximate and depend on weather and any mission needs that could alter the itinerary.
