Electra, UrbanV, and Signature Aviation Announce StrategicCollaboration to Unlock New Regional Mobility Ecosystem
Electra, UrbanV, and Signature Aviation Announce StrategicCollaboration to Unlock New Regional Mobility Ecosystem through a memorandum of understanding aimed at enabling Direct Aviation. The partners plan to connect Electra’s ultra-short hybrid-electric aircraft with UrbanV-Signature’s advanced air mobility infrastructure, including next-generation vertiports and a global network of private aviation terminals. The concept is designed to support point-to-point air travel between communities using coordinated aircraft, infrastructure, and operations. Electra will supply its EL9 Ultra Short nine-passenger aircraft, which the companies say can take off and land within 150 feet with quiet, efficient performance. UrbanV contributes vertiport development and operational capabilities, while Signature adds aviation facilities through its private terminal network. Together, the effort targets a distributed mesh of small access points integrated into existing communities, destinations, and transportation corridors. The companies described the partnership as a milestone for scaling advanced air mobility by combining infrastructure practicality, phased deployment, and real-world demand-driven operations across regional networks.
