Embraer Heads to Farnborough With a Record $32 Billion Order Backlog

Embraer heads to the Farnborough Airshow opening July 20 with a record firm order backlog of US$32.1 billion, the company said, as deliveries accelerate in 2026. The commercial backlog is about 50% higher than a year ago, while Embraer already has delivered 109 jets in the first half of 2026, up roughly 20% from 91 in the same period of 2025. The planemaker will bring the E195-E2 and the KC-390 to static display, highlighting both its commercial and defense lines. In the firm’s commercial segment, the order book rose about 50% over the year to roughly US$15 billion, reflecting strong demand for right-sized regional aircraft. Meeting delivery targets has become a selling point for suppliers struggling to keep pace industrywide. Farnborough, along with Paris, is a key platform for announcing order flow that helps mid-size manufacturers compete for attention.
