First peek inside Trump's swish new $400m Air Force One
First peek inside Trump's swish new $400 million Air Force One offers a glimpse at a jet designed to project wealth, power, and American prestige at altitude. The Boeing 747-8 VC-25B, gifted by Qatar and retrofitted for presidential use in under a year, was shown at Joint Base Andrews with reporters allowed aboard. Interiors feature tan leather seating, polished woods, and gold-colored accents, along with expansive conference rooms and large television screens that underscore a more opulent image than the aging fleet it will replace. The aircraft will serve as temporary Air Force One while Boeing delivers the longer-term replacement, expected no earlier than 2028. It carries a fresh red, white, and blue paint scheme and has been modified to meet presidential security requirements.
