The next day, Canada’s largest carrier began Halifax–Brussels under a codeshare with Brussels Airlines, using a 169-seat Boeing 737 MAX 8 on a three-weekly schedule. On June 17, Air Transat started Montreal–Dakar twice weekly with an A321LR, marking the first time the Francophone market is served by any carrier and the first LR service from Canada to sub-Saharan Africa. The following day, Air Transat launched Toronto–Tirana weekly with an A330-200, also the only North America–Albania operation. In Europe, easyJet launched multiple routes and Wizz Air started three, while Ryanair began none in the period.
