Flydubai co-pilot trained at one of UK's biggest flight schools - report
xCruzo Brief
Flydubai’s co-pilot, Hamam al-Hammami, accused in an alleged attempt to attack and cause a crash on a flight bound for Israel, trained at one of the UK’s largest flight schools, according to a report. The Telegraph says he completed training at L3 Airline Academy between 2018 and 2019, while Acron Aviation—the school’s owner—said it is assisting investigators. New Zealand police said on Tuesday that al-Hammami was in New Zealand seven years ago to complete part of flight training for a UK-based company, with records showing he arrived on 30 November 2018 and departed 23 May 2019 on a six-month student visa. The probe has also examined his time in Australia and a distance-learning course in aviation management in the UK.
