Former NFL star says he previously flew on private jet that crashed in Florida: 'Absolutely devastated'

Joe Mixon said he was aboard the same private jet that crashed in Florida, calling the news “absolutely devastated.” The former NFL running back, a two-time Pro Bowl selection who played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans, wrote on X on Monday that he had flown on that Learjet 60 about a month earlier with the same two pilots. He said the pilots were professional, and he described learning about the young woman’s story as especially heartbreaking. Mixon also offered condolences to all nine victims’ families. The NTSB said Monday it has indications the aircraft may have been breaking apart before a fiery crash on a Palm Beach County highway, with weather at altitude under investigation.
