FTSE 250 movers: Ocado under cosh; easyJet flies higher
xCruzo Brief
Ocado came under pressure on the FTSE 250 after a report said its board is looking for candidates to replace co-founder and CEO Tim Steiner, following weak share price performance. In a short statement, Ocado said its chief executive and board “continually engage in long-term succession planning” and regularly talk with potential candidates. The stock fell to 175.00p, down 3.53%, as multiple other names also declined. EasyJet, by contrast, rose after it rejected a third takeover proposal from private equity firm Castlelake at 625p per share, following earlier offers of 560p and 600p. EasyJet was up 3.13% to 519.40p, while recruitment groups Hays and PageGroup both fell despite no immediate stated reason.
