Greece won't get Israeli source code for €3B Achilles Shield

Greece will not receive Israel’s source code for the command-and-control system that underpins its new €3 billion Achilles Shield air defense network, Israel’s Missile Defense Organization head said. The decision complicates Athens’ plans to independently operate and upgrade the system that will sit at the core of Greece’s air defenses. The Achilles Shield deal, agreed between Greece and Israel on Aug. 31, is designed to combine Israeli technology to protect against missiles, aircraft and drones.
