Here's What A Senior United Airlines Flight Attendant Will Actually Earn When The $100/Hour Rate Hits In 2030
A new pay agreement is reshaping earnings for United Airlines cabin crews, as a $100.13-per-hour rate is set to take effect in July 2030 under the latest contract structure. The changes were ratified in May 2026, with United flight attendants seeing their first adjustments at the end of July 2026 after a six-year expired contract with no raises. Coverage citing CNBC says the deal received 82% approval, with almost 90% voting, and includes raises up to 31% this summer plus boarding pay of up to 8%. The five-year contract affects nearly 30,000 flight attendants and includes $741 million in retroactive pay, among other items such as sit pay, maternity leave, reserve changes, and increased 401(k) and per diem contributions. Negotiations were aided by the Association of Flight Attendants–CWA. The hourly rate is scheduled to rise every July 30 for five years, with additional step increases tied to seniority dates.
