Honeywell Aerospace begins trading as independent company
Honeywell Aerospace began trading as a fully independent, publicly traded company after completing its separation from Honeywell Technologies. The restructuring, announced as aligning with market demand for specialized systems, concluded with the new firm launching in Charlotte, North Carolina, and starting shares on the Nasdaq under the ticker HONA. Honeywell Technologies continues trading on the Nasdaq under HON. The spin-off separates the former Honeywell organization into three independent companies focused on different industrial markets. Honeywell Aerospace said independence is intended to give it greater flexibility to invest in aerospace technologies and make faster technology and business decisions. The company’s scope spans aircraft propulsion and avionics through satellite communications, serving commercial aviation, defense, and space customers.
