Hong Kong-bound flight delayed due to security concern
A Hong Kong-bound flight was temporarily delayed at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport due to a security concern, Philippine Airlines said. In a statement on Thursday, July 2 morning, PAL confirmed that Flight PR300 to Hong Kong was held while airport authorities addressed the issue. The airline did not specify the nature of the security concern, but said security protocols were established immediately in coordination with relevant authorities. PAL added that the aircraft was thoroughly inspected and then cleared to depart. The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that it had sought more details from the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group, but had not received a response as of publication. The disruption was temporary, with the flight permitted to continue after inspection.
