Hour Flights: Qatar Airways Launches New Longest Route Next Month details Qatar Airways’ plan to open a triangular route from Doha to two South American destinations starting next month. The service will connect Doha Hamad International Airport with El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá (BOG) and Simón Bolívar International Airport in Caracas (CCS), with operations beginning July 22, 2026. It will run twice weekly, departing Doha on Wednesdays and Sundays, with a first rotation of Doha–Caracas–Bogotá–Doha. Later, the direction will reverse to address payload restrictions related to Bogotá’s high elevation. The flights include a 90-minute ground time in Bogotá and a two-hour stopover in Caracas, and are scheduled as QR783 in both directions. Cirium expects Boeing 777-200LR widebody aircraft for the route.
