Indefensible' revelation emerges in Samuel Alito's long-withheld disclosures
xCruzo Brief
Newly released financial disclosures for Justice Samuel Alito, covering calendar year 2025, indicate he did not sell oil and gas holdings that watchdog groups argue disqualify him from participating in a major climate case. The report was posted Monday by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, signed by Alito on Aug. 11 and scheduled to be the last public disclosure before the Supreme Court hears the dispute in October. NBC News’ Lawrence Hurley said the filing confirms Alito still holds oil and gas stocks. Alito remains invested in ConocoPhillips, Phillips 66, AES Corp., BHP Billiton, Black Hills Corp., OGE Energy and Woodside Energy, with no sale reported. Watchdogs have demanded recusal.
