Luxair Expands Network with Helsinki, Edinburgh Flights

Luxair expands its route network by launching new direct services from Luxembourg Findel to Helsinki and Edinburgh, reflecting long-standing passenger demand and the carrier’s fleet renewal plans. The inaugurations take place on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 July 2026. According to Luxair, the Helsinki route operates twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, while flights to Edinburgh run twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. Luxair’s Chief Commercial Officer Thomas Fischer said both destinations were highly requested for years and fit the airline’s growth strategy. The airline marked the starts with events at Luxembourg Airport and at the destination airports, attended by airport representatives and invited diplomatic guests. With Helsinki and Edinburgh added, Luxair says it has introduced nine new routes in 2026, reaching a total network of 101 destinations.
