Major UK airline reveals big change to in-flight experience thanks to new upgrade
Major UK airline reveals big change to in-flight experience thanks to new upgrade highlights Virgin Atlantic’s plan to add live sports viewing onboard. The airline partnered with broadcaster Sport 24 to enable passengers to stream major events on personal devices using Starlink Wi‑Fi, including on aircraft cruising at 35,000 feet. Virgin Atlantic says the service will launch on planes equipped with Starlink and will be available both on the ground and in the air. To access live coverage, passengers need a free Virgin Atlantic Flying Club membership. The airline and Sport 24 say more than 6,000 hours of live sport will be available through Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra channels, with FIFA World Cup 2026 among the supported events. Virgin Atlantic also noted Starlink is currently available on about one-third of its fleet, with full rollout planned by end of 2027.
