Man accused of lewd act in front of child at Decatur Library, police say

A man has been arrested in Decatur, Georgia, after police allege he committed a lewd act in front of a child at the Decatur Library. The suspect, identified as Fredrick White, 61, of Decatur, was taken into custody on Monday, according to Decatur police. Police say they were called to the library off Sycamore Street at around 4:20 p.m. Investigators report that video footage shows the alleged act on the second floor near a child and the child’s father. White faces a charge of child molestation. He is being held in the DeKalb County Jail without bond while the case proceeds.
