The Guardian previously reported the jet was provided by Qatar Airways under its World Cup sponsorship as the official airline partner. Flights matched a Gulfstream G650ER operated by Qatar Executive, with FIFA and Qatar Airways declining comment. Using Flightradar24 data, reporters tracked more than 50 flights from the first match to the final, including US, Canada, and Mexico routes. Infantino also took a four-leg trip to Qatar to offer condolences to the Qatari Emir, after which the aircraft flew about 11,500 miles. He spent over 140 hours aboard the jet and attended up to two games per day during the group stage.
