New airline to start flights in Atlanta in October. Where will it fly?

Volaris, a Mexico City–based ultra-low-cost carrier, is set to launch direct flights from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to destinations in Mexico starting in October. The airline’s expansion comes as travelers look for alternatives after Spirit Airlines ended operations earlier this year. Volaris offers economy-only service, with extra fees for additional legroom, carry-on bags, checked bags, and onboard snacks and drinks. Hartsfield-Jackson says the Atlanta-to-Mexico flights begin on Oct. 2, 2026. The airline is already active across dozens of Mexican cities and also serves parts of South America, with routes landing at Felipe Ángeles International Airport.
