New BWI airline set to launch in October
Breeze Airways is set to launch new service at Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Thurgood Marshall Airport in October, adding nonstop routes to Burlington, Vermont and Vero Beach, Florida, according to Maryland Aviation Administration officials. The airline plans to begin roundtrip flights to Vero Beach on Oct. 1 and roundtrip service to Burlington on Oct. 4. Both routes will operate three times per week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. BWI says the addition strengthens its growing network of destinations, which already includes roughly 300 daily nonstop departures to about 90 domestic and international markets. Airport CEO Shannetta Griffin said the new service will support tourism and economic development. Breeze founder and CEO David Neeleman said the carrier is expanding in Maryland with two new nonstops for passengers seeking value and convenience.
