Air Canada is expanding with seven long-haul routes launching in June, boosting its share of Canada’s international schedule. The airline is projected to operate about 68 daily long-haul departures in June, accounting for roughly 36% of the nation's activity, with a total of more than 80 long-haul routes for the month across mainline and Rouge operations. On June 3, YYZ to Shanghai Pudong will depart with a four-weekly, year-round service aboard a 298-seat Boeing 787-9. Two days later, YYZ to Budapest begins with three to five weekly seasonal flights on the 787-8 or 787-9. A third inauguration, YYZ to Ponta Delgada, launches June 11 on a three weekly service with a 737 MAX 8, a route similar to WestJet’s new Azores link the following day.
