Nine killed after private jet crashes in Florida, leaving firey crater

A Bahamas-bound Learjet 60 crashed into a South Florida neighborhood, killing all nine people aboard and leaving a large, fiery crater. Video taken by passers-by showed the aircraft plunging from the sky before exploding on impact. Thick black smoke and flames spread across debris and pavement near the site. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said there were no immediate reports of injuries or deaths on the ground, while Palm Beach County officials evacuated about 600 residents from a nearby mobile home community. The FAA and the NTSB are investigating, with a federal update planned for Monday.
