One Thought on Every Top Jets Rookie Heading Into Week 7

New York’s Jets sit at 2–4 this season and have struggled with coaching and execution in key moments, but their rookie class has produced early standouts. The team used three first-round picks on pass catchers and pass rushers, and added defensive help in April’s draft. Among highlighted rookies, defensive end David Bailey—selected second overall—created an early third-quarter fumble despite New England limiting his pass-rush impact. Head coach Aaron Glenn said Bailey’s disruption is something the staff expected. Rookie receiver Omar Cooper Jr., the 30th overall pick, returned from short-term injured reserve to log six catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. Cornerback D’Angelo Ponds has dealt with learning the nickel after missing rookie training camp.
