CBS reported at least 18 commercial flights faced threats on Thursday, with at least one diverted to a military base in France. Authorities said no explosives were found and that all appeared to be hoaxes, but the disruptions still affected travelers at scale. Earlier in the week, UK officials judged threats against about seven flights as hoaxes; by Thursday, those alerts had impacted at least 25 flights, including cases where flights were diverted midair. Examples include an Aer Lingus Dublin-to-Rome flight diverted to France and multiple incidents involving Wizz Air, Ryanair, and LOT.
