PIA cuts Faisalabad-Karachi fares
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has cut fares for travel between Faisalabad and Karachi, offering discounts of up to 40% for a limited period. Under the revised one-way pricing, the fare drops from nearly Rs20,000 to Rs16,781, while the return fare falls from around Rs38,000 to Rs33,742. The discounted tickets remain valid until July 30 and apply to PIA return flights operating on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The move comes as PIA transitions ownership: last month, the government transferred management control of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) to an investor consortium led by Arif Habib Corporation Limited after the first closing of its privatisation. That consortium paid Rs10 billion and injected Rs80 billion in new equity.
