Poland is ready to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine in exchange for drone technology, but time is running out, says Kosiniak-Kamysz

Poland’s Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said Warsaw is still considering transferring MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, a proposal also sought by Bulgaria, but the timing is slipping. He told WP, citing Censor.NET, that a condition of any deal would be Ukraine transferring modern drone technology. Kosiniak-Kamysz said the proposal remains on the table while discussions continue at the headquarters level on maintenance and repair—who would do the work and at whose expense. He argued Ukraine has built up its drone industry, selling drones abroad and generating income, suggesting it could supply drones for cooperation. He added the aircraft are in good condition and noted Ukraine will have less time to decide, with a final call expected in the coming weeks.
