Porter Airlines Continues Investing in Economy Travel With Modernized Dash 8 Interiors
Porter Airlines says it is refreshing the economy cabin across its 29-strong De Havilland Dash 8-400 fleet, upgrading every aircraft with Expliseat’s TiSeat 2V. The first renovated planes are already in service, and Porter expects the full program to finish this fall. The new TiSeat 2V brings redesigned seat and back cushions built to Porter specifications, updated tray tables, and an integrated holder for personal electronic devices for hands-free use. The first row also gets a redesign with new tray tables to create more personal space. Porter will add LED technology with mood lighting, LED reading lights, and new carpeting. The company links the seat’s carbon-fiber and titanium structure to lower aircraft weight, reduced fuel use, and lower CO2 emissions.
