Red Sea Airlines Expands Fleet With Two Boeing 737-8s | Aviation Week

Red Sea Airlines has agreed with SMBC Aviation Capital to lease two Boeing 737-8s, with deliveries planned for July and August 2027. The Egyptian carrier is continuing a broader fleet expansion that also includes receiving a Boeing 737-800NG from Aergo Capital by the end of 2026 and discussing another seven aircraft with multiple international lessors. The company says the additions will help it reach a 14-aircraft fleet by 2028, aiming for greater capacity and flexibility to grow routes. The airline expects the larger network to improve connectivity with key Egyptian tourist destinations, including Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada and Sphinx, supporting its focus on safety and customer service.
