RTX's Collins Aerospace introduces ARINCDirect℠ OpenAPI to connect flight support data across operator systems
Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, has expanded its ARINCDirect flight support services with ARINCDirect OpenAPI, aimed at helping business aviation operators connect flight-planning and performance data directly into their existing digital platforms. Announced from Las Vegas on Oct. 21, 2026, the company says early adopters integrated the API into tools used by flight departments, cutting manual data entry and improving the speed of updates across systems. According to Collins, the API enables automated access to flight plan status, airspace information, trip performance, and logbook data without re-keying or reformatting. The modular design allows customers to tailor the interface. The company frames this as part of broader airspace modernization goals.
