Russian strikes across Ukraine kill 3 people as Kyiv struggles to counter escalating attacks
Russian strikes across Ukraine killed three people and wounded at least eight, officials said Friday, as Kyiv struggles to counter escalating bombardments that have killed more than 50 people in three days. In the morning, attacks on residential areas in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region killed one man and injured five, including a child, according to Mykhailo Semikin. A woman was also reported killed in a Russian attack on warehouse facilities in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region, where fighting and a fire were occurring; three others were wounded there. Elsewhere, a Ukrainian attack on Russia’s Belgorod region killed two people, while its governor said 12 were wounded. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned Moscow may increase daily strikes as winter nears and said repairs to the power grid are underway.
