Ryanair 'only offered to rebook flight' for man almost sucked out of window

A Serbian man, Ljubisa Karovic, says Ryanair has provided little help after a serious incident in which an aircraft window exploded while he slept, leaving him partially pulled out at about 20,000 feet. Karovic, 61, was flying on July 10 on flight FR1879 from Thessaloniki, Greece to Memmingen, Germany. His wife, Svetlana, and other passengers rushed to hold him inside by his legs. Karovic said no airline representative contacted him directly in the two weeks afterward, aside from emails to his son who booked the trip, and he reported ongoing distress. The Boeing 737 returned to Thessaloniki for medical staff and an ambulance. The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board is investigating and is set to issue a draft report in around 28 days. Ryanair did not comment while the investigation is under way.
